Custom domains
Use your own domain for your i3Dify projects. Instead of i3dify.com/view/..., share links like catalog.yourbrand.com.
Custom domains are available on Pro and Enterprise plans only.
Benefits of custom domains
- Professional appearance with your brand in the URL
- Build trust with your audience
- Better brand recognition and recall
- Full SSL/HTTPS security included
- Global CDN for fast loading worldwide
Prerequisites
Before setting up a custom domain, you'll need:
- A Pro or Enterprise subscription
- A domain you own (e.g., yourbrand.com)
- Access to your domain's DNS settings
Setting up a custom domain
Go to domain settings
In your workspace settings, find the Custom Domains section.
Add your domain
Enter the domain or subdomain you want to use. Examples:
- catalog.yourbrand.com (subdomain)
- flipbook.yourbrand.com (subdomain)
- portfolio.yourname.com (subdomain)
Add DNS records
i3Dify will show you the DNS records to add. You'll need to add:
TXT Record (for verification)
Name: _i3dify-verify.yourdomain.com
Value: verify=xxxxxxxxxxxxx
CNAME Record (for connection)
Name: catalog (your subdomain)
Value: proxy.i3dify.com
Wait for verification
DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate, though usually it's much faster. i3Dify will automatically verify once the records are detected.
SSL certificate
Once verified, we automatically provision an SSL certificate for your domain. HTTPS is enabled by default.
Domain status
Your domain will show one of these statuses:
Waiting for DNS records to be added and propagated.
DNS records detected, verification in progress.
Domain is verified and working. SSL is enabled.
Verification failed. Check your DNS records and try again.
Troubleshooting
Domain stuck on pending
- Double-check DNS records are entered correctly
- Wait 24-48 hours for DNS propagation
- Verify you're editing the correct DNS zone
- Make sure there are no conflicting records
SSL certificate error
- SSL provisioning can take up to 24 hours
- Ensure CNAME record points to proxy.i3dify.com
- Remove any conflicting CAA records
Domain not resolving
- Clear your browser cache
- Try a different browser or incognito mode
- Use a DNS checker tool to verify propagation
DNS provider guides
Here's where to find DNS settings in common providers:
GoDaddy
Domain Settings > DNS Management
Namecheap
Domain List > Manage > Advanced DNS
Cloudflare
DNS > Records
Google Domains
DNS > Custom records
Route 53 (AWS)
Hosted Zones > Your domain
DigitalOcean
Networking > Domains
Using root domains
We recommend using subdomains (catalog.yourbrand.com) rather than root domains (yourbrand.com). Root domains require additional setup and may have limitations.
