What is a Business Card?

A Business Card project is a two-sided 3D card. Visitors press Flip in the dock, or an arrow key, to turn it over and read the back. Hotspots on either side can carry your links.

Files and limits

  • Two images: one for the front and one for the back. A PDF is not accepted.
  • Any image format your browser opens, such as JPG, PNG or WebP.
  • The card's proportions come from the Card width setting, not from your image, so design both sides at the same proportions as the card.
  • Uploads count toward your workspace storage: 50 MB on Free, 10 GB on Pro, 25 GB on Business.

Create a business card

  1. 1. Upload both sides

    Open the Content tab and add the front and the back of your card.

  2. 2. Shape the card

    In Settings, under General, set the card width and how round the corners are.

  3. 3. Add your links

    In the Hotspots tab, place clickable spots on the card: your email, your site, a booking page, a pop-up with more details.

  4. 4. Share it

    Save, then copy the link or the embed code from the Share tab. The link stays the same when you update the card.

Settings

Everything below is in the editor's Settings tab, listed under the sub-tab where you find it: General, Scene or Camera.

General

Basic info (the project title and description) sits at the top for every type. Below it come the settings for the object itself.

Card

Card width, from 100 to 400 mm (350 by default), changes the card's proportions: the height stays fixed, so a wider card is a longer rectangle. Corner roundness goes from 0 to 15% (5% by default).

Scene

What surrounds the object, and the Realism finish over the whole frame.

Background

A solid colour, a gradient or an image of your own (with an optional blur), plus an optional pattern on top.

Realism

Film grain over the frame (0 to 100, 15 by default), how much of it lands on the card, still or animated grain, a vignette, and the shadow the card leaves on its surface, with how dark it is.

Camera

Where the view starts and how much visitors can move it.

Playback

Auto-rotate pages turns the card over on its own. Interval sets the seconds between turns, from 1 to 30 (3 by default).

Camera

Page flip speed is how long the card takes to turn over, from 0.15 to 5 seconds (0.8 by default). Initial zoom (50 to 200%), Min zoom (50 to 100%) and Max zoom (100 to 200%) set where the view starts and how far it goes. Horizontal rotation (up to 30 degrees each way) and Vertical tilt (up to 45) aim the camera. Drag to rotate, on by default, lets visitors turn the card by dragging the background; it springs back when they let go. Reset to default puts the page flip speed, the zoom and the angles back, and leaves Drag to rotate as it is.

On a phone, the editor's Camera section has no Horizontal rotation or Vertical tilt sliders. Set the camera angle from a computer.

Hotspots, menu and sounds

Next to Files, the Content tab has three more sub-tabs: Hotspots, Menu and Sounds.

Hotspots

Hotspots go on the front or the back of the card. A business card has no links dock, so hotspots are how you put links on it.

Sounds

Every project type can have background music. Add tracks as MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC, up to 20 minutes each. They are compressed to about 1 MB per minute and count toward your workspace storage. You can loop the playlist, set the volume and show a small player next to the dock. Autoplay starts with the visitor's first tap or key press, because browsers block sound until then.

Film it in Studio

Every project type can be filmed in Studio. Open the project's Studio tab, pick camera moves made for this type, and turn the project into a video, a GIF, a still image or a page of its own to share. Current limits

  • One card per project, with exactly two sides.
  • No links dock. Links go on hotspots.
  • The card's proportions come from its width setting, not from your image.

Tips

  • Design the front and the back at the same size, in the shape of your card.
  • Keep the back for contact details and a QR code, and put a hotspot over each one.
  • Leave a margin from the edges if you round the corners, so nothing gets cut off.
  • A plain, dark background makes a light card stand out, and the other way round.
  • Send the link in your email signature: you can update the card later and the link keeps working.
