Studio

How it works

Open Studio from the sidebar or from a project's Studio tab. On a computer only.

1. Create a composition: one video made from one project.
2. Add shots. A shot is one camera move over the project.
3. Play it back to check it.
4. Download it as video, or grab a single frame as an image.

Share it as an experience

A composition does not have to become a file. Share it and it becomes a page: the visitor scrolls, and the piece moves with them — down goes forward, up goes back. It starts gently and picks up while they keep scrolling, so a flick does not skip the whole thing.

1. Open the composition and go to the Share tab.
2. Choose Unlisted to give the link to specific people, or Public to let it be found.
3. Copy the link, or use the QR code for something printed.
4. Add a password if the piece is not for everybody yet.

Templates

There are two kinds in the Templates tab.

Text, images and sound

Add a caption, a logo or a music track on top of the video. Each one behaves like a shot.

• Drag the caption to move it, pull a corner to resize it, turn it with the round handle.
• On the timeline, choose when it shows up and how long it stays.
• Give it a fade in and a fade out, each its own length.

Compositions are saved

A composition is not a one time render. It stays in Studio and you can reopen it whenever you want.

• Duplicate one and change the shape for another platform.

Shots

A slow push in, for example. A video is a few shots in a row.

• Drag a shot on the timeline to move it, or its right edge to change how long it lasts.
• Open a shot to see its keyframes: camera positions pinned to a moment. Studio glides from one to the next.
• Set what happens between two shots: a hard cut, or a fade that blends them.

Formats

The video formats depend on your browser. Chrome and Edge offer the most.
