3D author press kit template

Stop sending podcast hosts a Google Drive folder of PDFs. One URL: bio, headshot, book cover, press quotes, booking link inside a 3D card.

Three-step workflow

From source files to live URL

  1. 1

    Gather press kit assets

High-res headshot, book cover image, 1-paragraph bio (1 short + 1 long version), 3-5 press quotes, sample interview questions, your Calendly link.

  2. 2

Design front and back card images

Front: your headshot + book cover composition. Back: bio + press quotes. Use Canva, Figma, or photoshop. Each side is one image file (PNG or JPG).

  3. 3

Build in i3dify + add the dock

Upload front/back to i3dify business card project. Add dock links: Calendly, your website, Amazon book link, sample interview questions PDF, sample chapter URL (via /free/pdf-to-3d-flipbook).

Why this template

Built for author press kit specifically

  • Podcast hosts open one URL — no Drive permissions, no folder of attachments to download.
  • Calendly in the dock — host books themselves to chat. No back-and-forth on scheduling.
  • Sample chapter link as a clickable pointer → 3D book preview. Hosts see your prose before agreeing to the interview.
  • Mobile-friendly — hosts who triage podcast pitches on their phone can review it without opening a laptop.
  • Analytics shows which hosts opened the press kit and which links they tapped — informs your follow-up priority.

FAQ

Questions about the author press kit template

What should I put on the front vs back of the card?

Front: visual identity — your headshot + book cover (their first impression). Back: substance — short bio, 2-3 press quotes, key credentials. Keep both readable on phone screens at first glance.

How do I link to a sample chapter?

Create a separate i3dify flipbook of your first 20-30 pages (use `/free/pdf-to-3d-flipbook`). Add a clickable pointer on the back of your card linking to that flipbook URL. Hosts tap, see your prose.

Does this replace a traditional EPK?

Replaces the Google Drive / Dropbox folder of PDFs that most indie authors call an 'EPK'. Traditional publisher EPKs include high-res print-ready files which you'd still send separately on request. The 3D card is the discovery layer.
