Embed an interactive 3D flipbook in Squarespace

Squarespace's native PDF block is flat. Drop an i3dify iframe in a Code Block — a real 3D viewer respecting your template's typography and spacing.

Why this works

Squarespace's Code Block accepts arbitrary HTML, including iframes, on Business plans and above. The i3dify viewer drops in with no template-specific tweaking — works in 7.0 and 7.1.

Step-by-step

4 steps from PDF to live embed

  1. 1

    Publish your i3dify project

    Set visibility to Public or Unlisted. Copy the iframe code from the share panel.

  2. 2

    Add a Code Block in Squarespace

    In the page editor, click + → Code. Make sure the "HTML" type is selected (not Markdown).

  3. 3

    Paste and toggle Display

    Paste the iframe code into the Code Block. Toggle "Display Source" off to render the iframe (it shows the code itself when on).

  4. 4

    Save and preview

    Save the page and switch to Preview mode. The 3D viewer should render. If it does not, check that your plan supports Code Blocks (Business or above).

The code

Copy this into Squarespace

<iframe
  src="https://i3dify.com/view/YOUR_PROJECT_ID"
  width="100%"
  height="600"
  frameborder="0"
  allowfullscreen
  loading="lazy"
></iframe>

Note: Squarespace Code Blocks require the Business plan ($23/month) or higher. Personal plans do not support custom code, in which case use a direct link button instead of an embed.

Heads-up

Squarespace-specific things to know

Personal plan blocks Code Blocks

Squarespace Personal ($16/month) does not support Code Blocks. You'll need Business ($23/month) or higher for the iframe approach. As a fallback on Personal, share the i3dify URL via a Button Block.

Squarespace 7.0 vs 7.1

Both support Code Blocks identically. If you're on 7.0 with an older template, the iframe may render outside your content max-width. Wrap in a row block to constrain.

Mobile preview can lie

Squarespace's editor sometimes shows the iframe as a blank box in mobile preview. Always test on a real phone via the published URL.

FAQ

Squarespace embed questions

Do I need to upgrade my Squarespace plan?

You need the Business plan ($23/month) or higher to use Code Blocks. The Personal plan blocks custom HTML. If you don't want to upgrade, share the i3dify URL as a button link instead.

Will the iframe work in Member Area pages?

Yes. Code Blocks work in Member Area pages on Business and above. Useful for gated portfolios or password-protected client galleries that need i3dify viewers.

Can I track Squarespace visitors who interact with the viewer?

Squarespace Analytics tracks the page view but not iframe interactions. i3dify tracks views and engagement separately in its own analytics dashboard.

How does this compare to Squarespace's built-in PDF block?

Squarespace's PDF block uploads a flat PDF that visitors view inline or download. i3dify renders the PDF as a 3D book with page physics, dock links, and a custom cover.
