3D can mockup: the whole label, all the way round
A can label has no front, yet most mockups still pick one angle and hide the rest. Turn the can instead and every side, seam included, is visible.
Show a new beer's label on a 3D can that turns in the browser, put the whole release in one link, and send it to a distributor, a bar or your own followers.
A new beer gets a new label, and the label has to be seen before the cans exist. The designer sends a flat render. The brewer asks what the back looks like, and a second render arrives a day later from an angle that does not match the first.
A beer can mockup that turns answers that question once. In i3Dify's Can project the label is printed all the way round a drink can in the browser, seam at the back. Whoever opens the link turns it to read any side.
Label art is designed flat and read curved. A line of text that spans the file ends up around the back, and the style name centred on the artboard becomes the face of the can. The 3D can shows that before anything is ordered. The front is the middle of the artwork, and the two ends meet at a seam at the back.
Text near the ends of the file is the usual casualty. On a standard can the band is 2.2 times as long as it is tall. With the height on Auto the can takes the label's proportions, so a tall beer-can label gets a tall can. On a fixed height, artwork at another ratio is scaled to cover the band and cropped, not stretched. The mockup shows what got cut. That is cheaper than finding it on a pallet.
A seasonal pack, a core range or a collaboration is a set of cans. Each image uploaded to a Can project is one design on the same can. A tap, the arrow keys or the dock step through them, and a counter says which one out of how many.
Autoplay turns the same project into a display. The can changes design every 2 to 15 seconds, Loop starts over after the last, and auto-rotate keeps it turning in between. Embedded on the release page, or on a page shown on a taproom screen, it runs without anyone touching it.
The same link works for the sell-in. A distributor or a bar manager opens it on a phone, turns the can and reads the back of the label. There is no PDF and nothing to download. For the announcement, the embed goes on your own site next to the tasting notes.
The can follows your stock. Body colour is a setting, aluminium grey by default, and the finish is glossy or matte. Transparent areas of the artwork leave the metal showing, which is how a partial label or a logo on bare aluminium reads.
It is one size of drink can, not a range of formats. It is not a proof against your canning line's dieline, and i3Dify does not print labels or fill cans. This type has no clickable hotspots, so the link to your shop goes next to the embed, not on the can. On the free plan the viewer carries the i3Dify watermark.
File preparation is covered in can label mockup, and the format itself in the 3D can mockup guide.
Let the brewer turn the can before the label is ordered. Make a beer can mockup.
Upload a PDF or a few images, pick a project type and share the link. The free plan is enough to try it.
